Where literature meets the met gala.
If anyone knows me, they will know that I LOVE the Met Gala, where fashion and creativity come together! So why not go an extra step and match books with the look!
The Met Gala first started in 1948, however I have chosen to start with 2005, as I feel the fashion and themes began to merge, but also I could pick more than 5 looks that I liked.|
The 2005 theme was: “The House of Chanel” celebrating the fashion house and legacy of Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld
So here are my top 14 looks at the Met Gala 2005

- Closet Translation: A delicate sequin dress used before in Chanel designs to give a glittery effect.

- Closet Translation: Raquel’s look is lavish, opting for a shimmery cream-coloured dress with gold accents that makes her look like a Chanel Goddess. The colours remind me of Chanel’s makeup line and leather handbags, both incorporate neutral tones and gold accessories.

Chanel was all about women finding their inner elegance and style, and I think this trait can be applied to Tinsley’s attire.
